Implanon

I got my implanon put in on oct.5th on the 5th day of my period. the following week i did not have a period. but the week after that i got y period again but it was super light and random through out the day. now i have had my period or spotting for over a month and it goes from red blood to brown blood and stops for hours then starts again. should i go back to my doctor or is this normal from my body adjusting to the hormones.
