Just started on Aviane (Alesse), reviews? Side Effects?

Hi everyone,

First time poster and BCP user!  Actually, not entirely true.  I've tried Seasonale (that's the Canadian version of Seasonique, as far as I know) for one day and noticed extreeeeme emotional sensitivity.  When I called TeleHealth, i was told that my body must be very sensitive to estrogen.

In any case, that was roughly a year ago.  I decided to try a new pill, and my University doc wrote me a prescription for Aviane (generic version of Alesse) because apparently it has the lowest hormone levels.  Tomorrow will be my third day taking it, and while it may be early, I would like to hear of any side effects you have had.  The main ones I'm concerned with are weight gain, emotional sensitivity and/or anger, and decrease in libido.  I'm thinking that since it's such a low dose the side effects won't be serious, if even existent.  But, again, I'd like to know in advance what I'm getting into from people who have actually taken the pill, not just my doc/pharmacist.

I'm 20 years old, sensitive to estrogen (apparently), around 115 lbs with a fast metabolism and irregular periods (i.e. my period comes every 15-17 days instead of a 28 day cycle), if that gives you better insight.
