The paragard didn't change my flow at all. I still had regular cycles
It's only good for 5 years. After 5 years you have to get it removed and put in a new one.
Ooh that's good to know Chima7. How do you know when they expire?
I've had Mirena for over a year and I've had no problems. No side effects. I love it. The non hormonal one causes heavy periods and heavy cramps. Mirena took care of my heavy bleeding problems. This is my second one and when it expires I'm getting another one.
Thanks ladies, will look into paraguard as well.
I had the paragard I chose it over the mirena because it is non-hormonal. No complaints
I had paragaurd, the 10 year iud. It was great for the most part, but late last hearcit started making ne have vey intense and painful periods so i took it out and decided to ty and conceive. Got pregnant about 4 months after it was out.
Thanks for replying 85mumtobe, no period is a bonus!
Anyone used it or know someone who has?
I had the mirena for 4 years before trying to conceive this little one. I loved it and will certanly get it back soon as i can. I didnt get any nasty side effects which i have done with the pill. Also no period which was fab!
