Mirena coil for 9 years no periods

Hi I am 39 years old and I am on my 2nd mirena coil. I have had no bleeding periods or spotting for the last 9 years since i had it put in. Last week out of nowhere  I had spotting which lasted about 5 days which was brown in colour. Is this normal? Anybody have any clue as to what is going on.

I too have had no periods while on Mirena 8 years. 2 months ago I started bleeding. About 5 times lasting 1-2 days. Then 3 weeks ago I found out I was pregnant with.a properly placed Mirena. My Dr was shocked as was I.

Have you found an answer? Did you have any more periods
