Missed a pill and don't know when, what should I do?

I took my Bc pill tonight and realized there was an extra one left. I have no idea when I missed it, or if I started it a day late in the beginning of the pack. I took 2 tonight to be safe but should I skip the sugar pills and just go to my next pack tomorrow? I have never missed a pill in the last 2 years. Should I be worried?
