Need help with the nuvaring!

I have been on the nuvaring for three months now, yesterday at work while in the bathroom i noticed a small amount of brownish blood on the toilet paper . I normally have this type of blood at the beginning of my period. I experienced this while the nuvaring was still in, but thought it was just breakthrough bleeding. I went home on break and checked my calendar and realized i should have taken the  nuvaring out the day before. I took the ring i had in out, and went back to work for four hours until i could pick up my new nuvaring at the pharmacy after work. I put it in as soon as i got home, thinking i was putting it in on the first day of my period so i would be immediately protected. I woke up the next morning and now there is no blood, so i must not be having a period. Should I take my new nuvaring out and try to have a period or just keep it in and wait seven days to have intercourse?

I have been on a new ring for about 3 and a half weeks and three days ago I had sex now I have been bleeding ever since. But my ring is still in, did my period just start early? Or should I be worried.

Hi there!

I would suggest taking the ring out and inserting it after the menstruation and then regularly as per schedule.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
