No period after mirena

I haven't had a period after mirena removal for 2.5 months. I had it in for two years. I had a regular period before the mirena and during the mirena it changed to light spotting to none. I'm concerned because it's been 2.5 months and I had half a day of spotting and nothing after the first month. Should I be concerned? Consult a doctor? I've researched and found a percentage of women continue with irregular periods for 1+ years. I would like to start a family and am concerned

It's not unusual to have an absent period after you take out the mirena. Sometimes it can take time to get back on a normal schedule. If you still don't have a period after 6 months then go back to your ob/gyn and request additional blood work to check your hormone levels.
