Nuvaring causing bleeding (I have cysts/endometriosis)?

Anyone try nuvaring as hormone treatment to suppress endometriosis with cysts? (until I have surgery in 6 months)

I get really bad side effects with any hormonal birth control I've tried in the past, so far I have no noticeable side effects, except I inserted the nuvaring on the first day of my period, over 2 weeks ago, and my period hasn't ended yet! Its very slowly transitioning from medium to light to very-light flow, with less normal discharge than I'm used to in the last day or two of my period. I also have constant cramps. Not enough to stop me from living but a constant pelvic ache. Not sure if it's because the ring pushes my vagina outwards and thus putting pressure on my cyst (if that even makes sense! I know my cyst is supposedly very mobile and not attached to my uterus or organs, yet.) or just endometriosis in general has been causing me more pain, or... ??? Is this contant bleeding going to make my cyst get bigger????

Is this normal with nuvaring, or should I consider trying a pill again?

Hello,
For treatment of endometriosis, hormones as birth control in the form of tablets, patch or ring are used. So Nuva ring can be used. This pain seems to be due to endometriosis and anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) may be all that you need to control pain. Birth control hormones help shrink endometrial tissue and reduce pain for most women. They are also likely to keep endometriosis from getting worse.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
