Pill Down the Sink?

Last Thursday, I was in the last week of my Ortho Tri Cyclen active pills and one went down the sink! I took the next day's pill immediately and continued to take the pills in the pack. For Saturday's last active pill, I took one from another pack completely so I didn't miss one. Did I do the right thing? Would taking the pill from another pack and taking them technically out of order increase my chances of pregnancy? I started the next pack on schedule and had unprotected sex the next day. Am I OK?

Hiii Gemmaa,
You did the right thing. However in case it happens again, you can take do minor adjustments also (as an exception).
the next 2 pills needs to be adjusted in 3 days...so that the cycle continuity is maintained and you need not use the pills from other pack.
I hope you understood my point.
As far as the unprotected sex is concerned, you can do that, if you follow the regime of the medicines properly. However in case of missed periods, do raise your concern.

Hi,
Yes.. you got the point correctly. But these sort or minor adjustments are to be made only occasionally. Skipping it on regular intervals can lead into pregnancy.

I am not certain what you mean about adjusting the 2 pills to 3 days. Do you mean, take the pills at even intervals spaced out in the three days?
