Possible hormone imbalance? Can I take the pill or the implant?

Hi,
I've never posted here before and I'm not sure where or what to include. But anyway, I'm 19 and I've been sexually active for about 2 1/2 years. I want to move onto a more reliable contraceptive method - either the pill or the implant.
I've been hesitant because I'm worried about it messing with my mental health.  But I want to try it anyway. I'm just not sure which.

I'm worried though that I have a hormone imbalance and that one or the other might worsen my symptoms.

I've been cursed with excess body hair. Thick, dark, long and fast growing. Over my legs, thighs, butt, bikini line. I also have quite a few long, dark hairs around my nipples which are disturbing for me, but easily removed.
I have a little more than I'd like above lip, lower back, stomach. But that is nothing major and I remove that once in a while although I can get away with leaving it. The rest of it though is a pain but I've adapted to all the hair removal and it doesn't get me down as much as it used to.

I would have assumed that I have high testosterone, but apart from the hair I'm not at all 'masculine' - I'm petite, not muscly, no clues in my voice or anything else.
I don't think it's as straight forward as high testosterone.

I'm sure it's in my genes too but I think I'm the hairiest of them all... and it must be hormone related too?

What could it be?
My period started at 11 if that's at all relevant. My cycle is on the longer side - about 33 days I think. Periods are fairly regular, although every once in a while it's a couple weeks too late or too early. It's almost always very heavy and painful and lasts about 4 heavy days with an additional few days of 'spotting'?
It seems as if I couldn't put on weight if I tried my very hardest, I feel tired a lot... I don't know if any if that is relevant or helpful.

I'm worried that either the pill or the implant will worsen any imbalance I might have.
Could the oestrogen or progesterone from the pill or implant worsen this or possibly make it better?

I don't want to take anything that further disrupts this.

Any insight would be great and  let me know what additional info is needed.

I know you can't tell me for sure over but I'd like some clues!!

Thank you! :)
