Postinor 2 - delay ovulation

How is it that most women who take postinor 2 before ovulation and it delays the ovulation, get their periods on time or earlier? How long does this delayed ovulation lasts? Thank You :)

This is my 3rd time of using postinor2  in 4 months. There was accidental ejaculation in me. This was 1 day after my period. Will postinor 2 work? I took the first tab almost an hour after the incident and the second  tab exactly 12 hours later.

I am experiencing the same thing, I was intimate with a guy 1 day after my last period on 23rd Dec 2016, I took Postinor 2 right after it. I still have not seen my period in Jan 2017 and my HPT came back Negative.. with no symptoms at all.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The primary mechanism of emergency contraception is delaying ovulation. There may be temporary disruption of menstrual cycle. This can manifest as early or late periods, spotting or breakthrough bleeding. Menstruation usually occurs on an average about 14 days after ovulation. So delayed ovulation may result in delayed periods. Suppression of ovulation may cause anovulatory bleeding which manifests as early period. Do write to us again with more queries.
Best of luck and regards!
