Really need Advice: My girlfriend has been on the Contraceptive pill now for 3months, she has just been given her second lot of pills, which are a 6months supply

My girlfriend has been on the Contraceptive pill now for 3months, she has just been given her second lot of pills, which are a 6months supply. Not too long ago, on bonfire night we had unprotected sex, we didn't do it much atall, and at the time I was 100% certain I took it out before I ejaculated. (Took it out and then kinda ejaculated..) The problem we have now is she is taking a brake from the pill, this is the normal thing to do when on the pill, and is the time she is supposed to have her period. It has now been a 5day break, and still no period.....is this normal? Is she supposed to have a period? Should she be worried?

We are both each others first sexual partners, and have been going out over 2years, the only reason she went on the pill was to stop period pains, as they were quite bad. When we had unprotected sex on bonfire night it was probably only the 3rd or 4rth time we had ever done it, and we only ever do it slow, for a minute or two, as we are both inexperienced and doing want things like this to happen.

Please please reply. This is quite urgent.

Hi There,

If your girlfriend is taking the contraceptive at the same time every day (or within a few hours of the same time) and hasn't missed any active pills then it should be 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, providing for the 1st sheet of tablets for the 1st month she has taken 14 or more active tablets before unprotected sex and does not miss more than 7 days of active tablets when period is due. Sometimes stressing about being pregnant can actually delay the period too.
Hope this helps, but if you are every worried again ask the pharmacist at you pharmacy they should be able to answer any questions :)

Hi there... I dont know if this might help but I can try...

I was in the same situation as you about a week ago.. I was on the pill for one month and my boyfriend and i also had unprotected sex.. I was also worried when my period didnt start strait away when I was on my 7-day break... mine only started after the 6th day and it lasted 3 days after i started using the pill again.. so wait a while maybe it starts. and if it doesnt I suggest she goes off the pill for a while and see if her period starts in that time. if it doesnt she must take a home pregnancy test. But dont get too worried because with some woman using the pil, the dont get their periods every month and maybe skips a month or has break through bleeding..

I really hope for the best and i think the only thing to do now is hope and pray she isnt pregnant and just wait and see what happens.. In the future use condoms aswell to be extra safe and to prevent STD's, because the pill gives no protection against it

Hope this helped and I hope for the best =]
Good luck
