Risk of Getting Pregant on Pill

Hi,
I am currently on the pill and have been for about 5 years. I just switched to a new brand at the beginning of this month. I never miss a pill and take it almost the same time everyday.

My boyfriend and I use condoms or he pulls out in addition to my BC, but I was curious as to the likelihood of my getting pregnant if he doesn't pull out and we don't use condoms. Am I freaking out for nothing? I know everyone is different, but I just wanting to know. Can I still get pregnant if I diligently take the pill?

Thanks!

Hi there!

Combined birth control pills are 92-98 % effective in preventing pregnancy, while condoms are 10-18% effective. Withdrawal method is 60-85% effective. Combining all three would raise the total effectiveness to around 98%, making the possibility of a pregnancy less likely.
Hope this information helps.

Take care!
