Same birth control pill but different brand?

by mlstrm62, Jun 16, 2008 11:32PM
Hello. My girlfriend has been taking Ortho Tri Cyclen for about three years now. She has always been good about taking the pill and has never really missed a pill before. Just recently she went in to the clinic where she purchases her birth control pills. But this time the nurse there (who has been giving her these birth control pills ever since she started) gave her a new brand of birth control. She told her not to freak out or anything because it was the same kind of pill it was just a different brand and came in different packaging. My question is will the effectiveness of her BCPs be affected in anyway? Should we be worried?
