The Drug PRIMODOS

Back in the 1970's my mum was given the drug Primodos as a pregnancy test to test if she was pregnant.  The first time she miscarried and the second time I was born with fingers missing on my hands and toes missing.  This has also affected many other people in England and Germany.  The name given to the drug in Germany was Duogynon.  Please look at the net and put this drug name in the net, PRIMODOS

The was two ingredients in this drug Norethisterone and Ethinylestradiol, both these substances are used in the contraceptive pills of today but at lower dosages.  When primodos was given it was like takeing 2 - 3 boxes of contraceptive pills 12 hours apart.  The drug primodos had high dosages of Progestins in this drug.  In 1975 after the damage had been done to all these people and even babies had died the drug company decided to put warnings on the back of the boxes to tell the doctors that this drug was not to be given to pregnant ladies as the was a possibility of it causing deformities.

Norethisterone and Ethinylestradiol is used in the contraceptive world of today.
