"The Pill"

so I've recently become sexually active and I've had a few pregnancy scares so I'm wondering what would happen to me if I go on "The Pill"? anything bad will happen?

There's nothing wrong with taking the pill. If you don't like one of them you can try another. There are literally Tina of brands to choose from. And don't listen to fiza because she doesn't know what she is talking about.

I can't believe a premed student would tell someone to never take the pill. If giving advice like that you should be struck off! doctors are meant to give lots of options not rubbish like that!

If you are risking pregnancy because you are worried about going on the pill, keep in mind that there is more risk in pregnancy (risk of dying from pregnancy) than there is from taking the pill.  Not to mention that you might not want a child right now and there is of course a 100% risk of pregnancy if you keep having unprotected sex.  The pill will not protect you from STDs including AIDS, so the answer is either an IUD and condoms, or the pill and condoms, or possibly the implant and condoms.  It's the cost of an open sexual attitude in this day and age.  Good luck!
