The chance of being pregnant

How likely is it for me to get pregnant if I am on birth control, which I have been for almost 2 years, and I missed my pill monday and took 2 pills on tuesday to catch up. I then had unprotected sex tuesday and found out that was the day I was ovulating. What is the chance that I could get pregnant? And when should I test? I'm due for a period in less than 2 weeks.

well I'm no expert but last year I stopped taking my pill mid janurary and I concieved my child on feb 14th. so it took a few weeks. hope everything wrks out for u!

i forgot to take my birth control pill from the end of december and through january and am worried myself at the moment as i had unprotected sex,and am normaly like clock work and i am 2 week late and test came back negative bt im the same got bwt a wk and half till i come on so i will see then bt i have forgotten to take a pill just once in my cycle and i was fine bt u shudnt take 2 pills in the same day u shud leave it as a missed one bt everyone is diffrent so hope everything goes okx x x x

Thanx for your comment. Do u want a baby? And my birth control booklet says if i miss one to take 2 in one day but just as soon as i remember not to take em at the same time which i did...now im scared.

I DID get PG on the pill, but ONLY because I was taking antibiotics. I've missed pills a bunch of times, never got PG from that!!!!

just becareful i was on the pill for 6 years and from my understanding missing a pill does affect how effecient it works read d leaflet that comes with it each pill is different but it could affect it for up to 7 days i got pg on the pill aswel not to sure why so dont freak out unless you miss a period but keep taking it to make sure its working to the best it can n dont take two in the same day.

I was on Yaz and the doctor told me that if I miss a pill, don't have unprotected sex for up to seven days after! I also read that your body could work together an impromptu ovulation when you fail to take the pill, even if it's not on you normal ovulation schedule. That said, I have missed the pill numerous times (hey we're all human) including in the middle of the month and not gotten pregnant. I know we're all different but there's a pretty good chance that this will be nothing more than a scare. If you're having trouble remembering to take the pill, you could always switch to the ring or the depo shot.

As for when to test, wait for your period to show up or not. If you take the test too early, i.e. less than around 14 days after conception, you could get a false negative.
