Types of Birth Control

I want to begin taking birth control, but have heard so many bad things about yaz.  Please let me know about some good birth control and their side effects.  Thanks.  I know that everyone's body is different but i would like to know people's thoughts on the different kinds and their reactions to them.  Thanks again.

Most birth controls contain almost the same ingredients in the and most carry the same side effects as each other.  There are birth controls that contain progestin and estrogen or birth controls that contain just progestin (mini-pill).  Mini-pills MAY be considered "safer" for women who are breastfeeding, over age 35, overweight, smoking, or have high blood pressure or history of blood clots.  

You may also consider patches, or the Depo Provera shot.  There are also methods such as the NuvaRing.  I personally take Yasmin and have never had any problems.
