What should I do about the sore above my birth control?(nexplanon)

I was working and my arm pinched between something, I don’t really remember what happened exactly but I knew it hurt and I was worried about the birth control the second it happened. A few hours later I notice the skin looks pierced. It’s not directly near the birth control, but a ways up. The implant feels intact. Should I get it checked out just in case?
