I got my first shot me the depo on October 8. A few days later I had unprotected sex also I'm about 6 days late on my period. Can I be pregnant?

Hi!
Depo takes about two weeks to "kick in" and become effective. It also causes irregular periods. I would defininitely recommend to a patient of mine that she take a pregnancy test. If it was negative, I would not be concerned that the period was late.
