being on depo shot and getting pregnant

OK I HAVE A SERIOUS QUESTION I HAD MY FIRST CHILD THIS YR IN FEB.
AND RIGHT AFTER I WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITOL THEY GAVE ME
THE DEPO SHOT AND I BEEN ON IT SENTS THEN ...IHAVENT MISSED ANY OF
MY APPOINTMENTS TO TAKE MY SHOT AND AM DUE FOR ANOTHER SHOT
THIS MONTH JULY 27TH AND ME AND MY BOYFRIEND HAD UNPROTECTED SEX
AND I FEEL PREGNANT SO I TOOK A MEIJHER'S BRAND PREGNANCY TEST AND IT
CAME OUT POSITIVE ...CAN  I BE REALLY PREGNANT??? OR COULD THAT TESTED BE
FALSE??

My doctor told me there is no such thing as a false positive.  If it says positive you are pregnant.  However I took like six tests and they all came back positive and they kept telling me I was pregnant but really my IUD had just puncture my uterus.  They say they don't know if I was ever really preggers, I might have been and the IUD puncturing my uterus terminated it, or I could have just never been preggers.  There is no way to really ever know.  I would say go to the doc and have a blood preg test done.  Let me know what you find out!  Good luck!!

you can get false postives..you can get if you are on fertility medications, cycsts....etc

Well without something interfering.  I am doubting someone on birth control is also on fertility meds.  And if a cyst can cause a positive then it's and indicator somethign is wrong so if your not prego you should get checked out.

yes your correct but saying there are no such things as false postives is not true. and sometimes people search "false postives" and this might pop up and its not fair for them to think there is no such thing as false postives

and also...yes cysts can give a false postive and it deff is an indicator something is wrong but that can give you a false postive

I didn't say there are no such things as false positives, my doctor did.  If you read in my first post is says that I may have gotten a false positive myself.

Beside the controversy over whether or not it's possible... It's probably best to go to the doc and get a blood pregnancy test just to be sure.  If it comes out negative talk to your doc about the urine test being positive to make sure there are no problems.
