Hi there,
Contraceptive pill if taken regularly and on same time everyday can prevent pregnancy to a significant extent. Taking the pill a few hours late may not make a difference in some pills, but could leave you unprotected, depending on the type of pill you take and which week of your cycle you are. Since your partner used protection during sex and you are on birth control pills there are no chances that you could get pregnant. Failures can occur with any method though the chances are very rare. Stop worrying. Do keep me posted.
Take care and regards!
