cramps mid pack

I am been on the pill for three years, and this morning I woke up with really bad cramps like I have my period but I still have a week of active pills left before my sugar pills. Before I started taking the pill I had really bad cramps like this during my period but since taking it they haven't been this bad. Does this happen to anyone else and what does it mean..?

Sometimes for me, I have worse cramps the week before my period...and none while having my period. Our bodies change month to month, so maybe it was just an odd thing for you. I also get cramps mid cycle (guess like ovulation type), so anything is possible.
