depo injection

hi, ive had the depo injection twice and ive now come off the injection about 2months ago and i still havent recieved my periods i never had any bleeding whilst on the injection. im worried im not going to be able to have a baby due to this. shall i go to my GP or is this normal for periods not to come back straight away

it is totally normal for this to happen. be patient and they will come : )

As I've said in the past...the Depo shot is one of the worse birth controls out there. It can stay in your system for up to a year....meaning you might not have a period for that time frame. Some women bleed the whole time on it, while others have no bleeding. I would see your doctor just to be on the safe side though.

im having the same problem........had 2 injections...came off it because of weight gain...........have not seen mine since two months now.............saw my doc......put me on yasmin....

I had 2 injections and came off in Feb bc i felt like I was going crazy on it. I just actually 3 days ago got my period but it wasn't like a real period. It was really light and short. I know people that have been on it and had kids later on. I wouldn't worry too much. In general, I think this is a very effective birth control, yet the side effects that go with it, for me at least are just not worth the extra 2% peace of mind over the pill
