implantation bleeding?

implantation bleeding?

So this is the scenario. My period ended last Friday, today is Friday, so its been a week; Saturday, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. (we've been together 8 years and we don't believe in marriage so please, no lectures) so Wednesday night/ Thursday morning I started a light bleeding. I've done a little research and the only thing that I've concluded it could be is implantation bleeding. But all of the info doesn't match, they say implantation bleeding usually happens 9-12 days after intercourse and sometimes longer. Also, that its normally a brownish color or at least darker than normal. So it stopped Thursday night, we had intercourse, (protected), and today it started a little heavier bleeding with a little clotting. I'm worried I'm pregnant, but logic says its too early to be true. Personally, I hope I'm not, but its still a question. Any comments, ideas, or suggestions

Hello,
It does not look like implantation bleeding. Brown discharge can be due to ovarian problems, hormonal imbalance, stress, anxiety, crashed dieting, use of birth control pills, change in environment, excessive exercise etc. Heavy bleeding can be due to can be due to hormonal imbalance, fibroids and polyps (non cancerous growth) in the uterus, endometriosis (deposits of the inner lining of the uterus in the pelvic cavity) etc. You might have to go for a complete hormone profile and ultrasonography to know the cause of this .Get in touch with an Obstetrician and Gynecologist for further assistance.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
