MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Emergency pills are very effective in preventing pregnancy if taken in correct dosage and taken as early as possible after sex. They may cause early or delayed menses or may not affect your menses. The response varies in every woman. Since your period is delayed by more than a week it is suggested to take up pregnancy test and confirm whether you are pregnant or not. I sincerely hope it helps.
Best luck and regards!
