question about using a diaphragm for a retroverted uterus

I have a tipped (retroverted) uterus, and wanted to know if this would affect the way I should insert a diaphragm (for contraception). My gynecologist didn't seem to really have an answer for me! Because my uterus is tipped backwards (toward my behind), would this mean that I should insert my diaphragm 'backwards' with the rim facing toward my behind (as opposed to having the rim face forward like it is usually suggested)? I am so confused! My husband and I are really not wanting to get pregnant right now. Please help!

Thank you very much in advance,
Joanna
