Oh i should mention you DONT need a condom with them, the point of inserting that medication into you is to get rid of the sperm when it enters your vagina

I have used a gel before, and a suppository.  The gel was unconfortable, for me it burned a little, not too much but it was unconfortable (this would happen after sex) and you'd have to put it in 10 minutes before sex.  The suppository was fine, didn't get pregnant on it, didn't burn and you didn't have to wait any time for it work.  They are not outdated, a lot of people use them that prefer not to use a barrier method (like a condom) Catholics arnt supposed to use birth control especially a barrier method so I believe the ones who dont use NFP use these methods unless they're little sinners! They are okay to use on there own or with condoms. Even if used properly though nothing is 100% safe!

i dont know anything about the foams or suppositories.  i do know that they are a bit out of style (mostly used with diaphrams) due to people now using the condoms w/ spermicide already included.  you should check those out
