seriously curious...posting again...

I have been on Depo for about 4 years and it is very normal for me to have some spotting/bleeding about 3 weeks before my next shot is due. I started bleeding more slightly heavier than usual this time so i got my shot 2 weeks early which usually makes the bleeding stop...its been 4 days and its just just as heavy as it was before the shot...should i be concerned? this is extremely uncommon for me...

Hello,
There are a few side effects of the depo shots and these include irregular bleeding or spotting, heavy or prolonged bleeding or complete stoppage of menstrual cycles.

What you are having is a side effect of the depo shot and for the same you should consult your gynecologist and shift to some other mans of birth control measure.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
