should i take the emergency pill?

Last night my boyfriend and i were fooling around, we did not have sex, but he was brushing his penis in my vagina with a condom that was big for his penis. He didnt ejaculate but there was a lot of some liquid coming out from the bottom of the condom since it was big. Can i get pregnant? Do i have to take the emergency pill? Cause i really dont want to because of the side effects

Hi there,
I had a patient call me a couple months back asking a question similar to yours and I advised her to buy an OTC emergency contraception (plan b) and she waited to long to take the medicine. Now she sees me regularly to monitor her medications because she is pregnant.

Everybodys body is different, but to be on the safe side you should talk with your doctor about EC or go ahead and buy an OTC one.
Good Luck!

HI!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that you will probably be OK without using the emergency pill.  There is some debate about whether or not there is any sperm in the pre-ejaculate. You may wish to consider the time of your cycle, if you are at your most fertile time, you might wish to have the extra protection of the emergency pill.
Hope this helps!
