sore skin after period

I'm surprised to find the skin on my torso and even legs sore/tender, in addition to tender breasts, a day after my period has ended.  I have found nothing on line about skin tenderness, though it is not uncommon for me to have some skin tenderness beyond the breasts in the pre-period timeframe.  I am 42, and interestingingly, had some mild night sweats for two nights prior to my period.  reading other posts, it seems it is uncommon, but normal to have pre period night sweats.  but again, not seeing anything about this skin tenderness issue, which I am sure is just some hormonal thing.  I'd love to understand what is happening hormonally, and if it is normal for the tenderness to extend far beyond the breasts.
