spotting/ bleeding/period?

Okay then i know you get these questions all the time

i have been spotting and breakthrough bleeding for weeks and i know its just leftovers/too many eggs trying to come out thats what i was told, But it has never happend before.and my priod comes after 2 days of taking them, i thought i did start but it lasted 3 days and really light experienced cramping.i usually bleed full 5
now im not spotting or bleeding any more and taking pills as directed.

so my question is did i have my period? or do i have to worry about being pregnant? usually my breast hurt really bad before the flow, but this month did not.  i have been on these pills for 2 years now and never hand any of these problems. just curious.

p.s. taking pills same time each day.

Hi,are youon a combined pill or just mini pill that we take everyday?

if you're o the mini pill then you may never have a proper period, most women find their periods become a lot lot lighter or stop when on the mini pill,

If you have been taking your birth control pills every day, exactly as directed, then pregnancy should not occur.

The spotting and bleeding however, is not leftover eggs coming out.  It may mean that the hormones in the pills may have to be adjusted so that this does not occur.

You don't say what type of pills you are on, but some are more prone to causing breakthrough bleeding and spotting than others.

You should see your health care provider and talk about the spotting and bleeding.  If you want reassurance that you aren't pregnant, take a sensitive home pregnancy test using a first morning urine.   Your doctor may also test you for pregnancy.  But keep taking your pills for now, and see your doctor to determine if you need a new type of pill.
