what does this mean?

i missed 2 consecutive pills toward the middle of my birthcontrol pack then i was late taking the last 2 before my placebo pills. its been 2 days since my placebo pills started and usually i start my period by day 4. but earlier today i was spotting darkish red blood for litterally 5 minutes, maybe less. could this be implantation bleeding or something else? could it be my period??

HI,
As you have missed pills, there is a definite risk of pregnancy. Also dark red blood for 5 minutes cannot be considered as a normal period. Hence you should wait and watch to see if the bleeding progresses to a normal bleed. If not then a home pregnancy test should be done.
