Thank you for getting back to me, I'm going to see my gp tomorrow. I have a feeling it has something to do with the ovarian cysts because I've been having some severe pains in my sides/abdomen. My boyfriend and I are always getting ourselves checked for stds and any other  infections, we've both been completely clean every time and we're both faithful.
In your honest opinion what does it sound like?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
A complete evaluation is necessary for determining the correct cause of your symptoms. If it is brown in color then I would like to share with you that brown discharge is usually a sign of old blood associated with the embryo implanting in the uterus. Sexually transmitted infections, cervical erosions, other gynecological illnesses or cancer may also cause bleeding and brown discharge. Spotting can occur in pregnancy due to implantation and the cervix is more prone to bleeding during this time. If the symptoms are persistent and severe it is best to talk to your doctor about it. You may need testing of your blood or urine for HCG to confirm or disprove pregnancy. If pregnancy test is negative you may need Pap smear and pelvic ultrasound to determine the cause of your symptoms. Treatment will depend on the cause. Hope it helps.
Best luck and regards!
