Elevated D Dimer

Hello. I went to the ER a few nights ago with chest pain/burning and what feels like inflamation under my right rib. A blood test revealed an elevated d dimer of 2.94. I had a chest CT to rule out a clot and a gallbladder untrasound. All were normal. Please help. I still have the same symptoms and I am very anxious about the dimer. It's all I think about. I'm not ready for anything to happen to me. I am a 32 year old female. Also, I have read a ton about d dimers. I just can't get over why mine is so high. Thank you
