Low RBC, Should I be worry

I have regular body check which includes CBC. Usually, the result comes back everything within normal range. However, the recent one came back with a slightly abnormal RBC result.

WBC 6.0 (4.0 - 11.0 10^9/L)
*** RBC 4.2 (4.5 - 6.0 10^12/L) LOW
Haemoglobin 14.0 (13.5 - 17.0 g/dL)
*** HCT 39.7 (40.0 - 50%) LOW
MCV 93.9 (80.0 - 98.0fL)
*** MCH 33.1 (27.0 - 33.0pg) HIGH
MCHC 35.3 (32.0 - 36.0g/dL)
Platelet Count 238 (140-440 10^9L)
RDW 12.0 (10.0 - 15.0%)

The numbers are slightly out of the normal range, my doctor told me not to worry. There was only one thing that I think may be the cause of this. I have a shoulder pain, and have been taking anti-inflammatory and stomach drugs for the past two weeks until the day I take the blood test. However, my doctor said unless I was bleeding, otherwise, medication should not be the cause of the abnormal result.

Any idea about the cause of the abnormal RBC tests and should I be worry.

PS. I also tested high Urea (7.3 (2.5 - 6.4 mmol/L)), which my doctor said is due to dehydration. Not sure it is related.

Thanks!

I don't have an answer, but your results are not too abnormal.  I am dealing with somewhat the same thing.  I have low RBC, WBC, elevated globulin and MCV.  My doctor doesn't seem overly concerned but did suggest a referral to a hemotologist.  I am scheduled to see one later this week.  Maybe you should see a specialist too, just to rule out anything worrysome?

You told that, the result comes back everything within normal range. So don't worry, maintain your doctors advice.
