Low iron

Ive been anemic throughout my life due to heavy menstrual cycles. I would take iron pills off and on to get my iron back up.. However, this time the iron pills are making me very nauseous.  Ive tried the ones i needed a prescription for and taken them with and without food. My doctor suggested i buy the over the counter ones cause they are slow released but its the same, im nauseated. Does anyone know what i can do. My iron is like a 8.6 so its gonna take mor. Than my just eating iron riched foods...thanks

I have low iron like you, i used Floradix and found it brought my levels up really well, it is natural and doesnt give you nausea.  It is a liquid and doesnt taste too bad.  Hope that helps.
