Venifer iron intraveniously.

What is the level for iron count?My DR.tells me 40 is good,i would like to know..My hemoglobin changes all the time ,Anything under a 8.0 is bad for me.....I get blood transfusions 1 a week,if it is a good count ,usually 2 times a month..
