Hello Dr

Thanks for your reply. Rest of these three ie. WBC, Hemoglobin and platelets all are with in normal level. The reason for my worry is sudden decreasing of WBC and platelets with in three months.I considered the Dr for some redness are appeared in my skin like elbow of hand, leg and inner arm. He suggested atarax and caldryl loation. He told me if it is not cured in one weak go for blood test, it is not cured but slightly reduced, my friend suggested sternon lotion within two days it is cured almost fully, but some places it appear again in thigh and upper portion of the hand, this is the reason for my worry ...

is it related to any STD syptoms

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
Well, atarax usually does not cause any change in blood count, but an allergic reaction can.
Do discuss this with your doctor and assess whether dehydration is the cause for higher Hb. Normal values of hemoglobin in adults is 12 to 18 grams per deciliter (may vary from lab to lab). So, it is still within normal limits. Hemoglobin levels increase in severe dehydration, polycythemia vera, heart failure, Congenital heart disease, cor pulmonale, smoking, lung fibrosis etc. A value hovering around 16 could be the normal value in your case. Also the platelet count though lower are within normal limit. The WBC is slightly lower. If RBC is also lower, then hyper-spleenism should be thought of. Please talk to your doctor. Take care!
