Why does our face and ears become red and hot when we are angry?

Face and ears become red and hot when one is angry because of dilatation of superficial blood vessels that bring oxygen-rich red blood to the ears, face and upper neck. This dilatation of blood vessels causes blushing and redness of face and ears.
