large area of fingertip size bruising on thighs?

large area of fingertip size bruising on thighs?

Hello my wife is a 23 y/o, stay at home mom of 3, which is probably the hardest job in the world but she not into excersise all that much. I've been on the computer for three days straight trying to do some research on this because my wife is the type of person who WILL NOT go to the doctors unless I drag her there. Just about a month back she had about a quarter sized around lump removed from her groin area that was causing her a great deal of pain. To give you an idea of its location, if she were to stand straight up and I pushed up under the base of her buttox is the only way that I could feel the actual lump.  It wasn't actually removed but drained. About two weeks ago she started bruising all over the back of her legs. A couple larger bruises, but for the most part theres about 20 to 30 very small bruises that kind of resemble fingertip bruising and they are also starting to cause her some discomfort, there is no itching or swelling involved. Only the bruising. Now, i'm not certain that this is connected to the procedure she had done last month but I thought they could be connected. Not to mention that I've seen the word leukimia in a lot of the research that I have been doing and to be honest it has me pretty scared. Please let me know of what could be causing this and If I should do a B.A. Barackus from the Ateam on her and drug her cheeseburger and drag her to the hospital!!! Thank you so much for your time.

Hello,
Anemia and deficiency of vitamins C, K, B12, or folic acid are the common causes of easy bruisability. Ask your wife to try taking iron tablets and multivitamins for some days and see if the symptoms improve. If the symptoms do not improve, get yourself evaluated by a physician and look out for SLE, bone marrow disorders, liver diseases or leukemias. Anti-clotting (anti-coagulants) medication also can cause increased bruising.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
