Borderline personality disorder + depression + fatigue

by aber2, Jan 14, 2009 11:13AM
I am interested in finding out if anyone out there has had success with any medications for BPD, especially for mood stability and feelings of emptiness. Also, if anyone has used any kind of supplements, herbals and/or vitamins.  I think Omega 3's help but right now need more to keep me going.  all I want to do is stay in bed...

I have bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder.  i've tried over 12 medications before i came across Lamictal.  It is the only mood stabilizer that has antidepressive qualities as well.

i won't try to sell it too much, but after 5 days i felt like "me" again.  i felt like i did in 6th grade.  normal.  nothing weighing down on me.  not fake.  the difference kicked in in about 5 days.  i would look into it if i were you.

I also have both bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. Lamictal has also been the medication I have found to be most effective. I can't recall feeling better after just five days but it has offered me the greatest relief from the mood swings and depression.

I haven't really tried anything herbal. It has been recommended to me on several occasions that a daily vitamin can increase energy and over all health. However, I have been unable to consistently purchase them as of yet.

BiPolar  was my first So I am on 900mg of lithium daily  clonazepam o.5mgx3daily and seroquel .0. 25mg x125 at bedtime Sometimes in the winter we tweek and add a temp antidepressant. I don't like change in my meds as my moods are so easily shook up But since my therapist is pointing out to me the last few months how boderline plays a strong  roll in my personality. We are looking at lamicyal On this site it  gets good reviews from those using it I also do the omega 3 with fish oil. Hope this helps and it sounds like you really need some help getting off the couch.I can relate. Good-luck Blesed B..

I have BPD and refuse medications.  I have a HUGE complex and think that I can be self sufficient most of the time, but when my life falls apart as it often does.... I am left to battle the decision to accept meds.  I am 31 now and the fatigue from my mood swings and depression are really taking a toll.  Can anyone relate?

I have BPD and I am on Cymbalta, Abilify and Klonopin... is this a good mix?? I feel sometimes as if they have all stopped working, so I up my Klonopin....

I was on Lamictal but I had an allergic reaction to it... would something like geodon or seroquel be better than cymbalta??
