It sounds like you are in a really bad place right now and that the anxiety of what the medication is doing, or not doing is making it all worse.
The first thing I want you to know is that you should never use any drugs unless they are prescribed by a doctor who knows what medications you are on at the time. Of course you know that and are regretting the smoking so I won't lecture you. But just know that the effects you had were a mixture of the two which effected the way you were thinking, feeling and processing information in a negative way because marijuana and prescribed medications aren't ment to be taken together.
The good news is that if you haven't smoked since that day then ot would be unlikely that the one incident has been what is affecting you to this point because the marijuana has worn off and is working it's way out of your system.
Marijuana takes a good amount of time for your body to be clear of it because it is stored in fat cells.
There is however a chance that any drug done even used once can cause a long term or permenant effect in someone physically, emotionally or mentally.Especially illicit drugs mixed with prescription drugs. But as I said the chances of this are more unlikely than a strong probability.
Still you need to be very upfront and honest with your doctor and therapist if you have one right now because they can;t help you unless they know exactly what is going on in your life.
All prescription medications have side effects. Some more troublesome and severe than others. But medications, especially ones used to treat psychiatric dissabilities take time to work and adjust to. Sometimes not getting the full effect of the medication for up to a month. The side effects can also last for weeks or even a month depending on how your body adjusts. And then when the dose is raised your body will again need to adjust but usually a little more easilty than when the drug was first taken. Everyone reacts to medications differently and soemone may have one side effect while the other person experiences something else.
But as I mentioned it's important for you to tell your doctor exactly what you are experiencing so he/she can decide if the medication is right for you or you need to be switched. Even of your dose needs to be adjusted.
Just be completely honest. Especially about the smoking because next time the medication your on could have a life threatning reaction which you weren't aware about.
Good luck and be well. I'm sorry I couldn't pinpoint any medications for you because only your doctor will know what is right for you.
