How to be weaned off Invega

I was misdiagnosed with Schizophrenia and has been on Invega 6 mg for the past 9 months. I am now confirmed to have Borderline Personality Disorder .How long should it take to come off Invega and what is involved. I am frustrated with the side effects of Invega.

You should discuss with your doctor how to taper off the drug. A lot of medications need medical supervision in weaning yourself off them. Some can cause seizures, etc and these can be dangerous.
It would be best to discuss your concerns, etc with your doctor.

I'm sorry it probably wasn't the answer you were looking for but weaning off meds needs to be done safely.

I hope your doctor will support you in your decision to stop the medication.
Other options may include decreasing the dose or changing the medication.

Your doctor is the best person to discuss this with.
