bpd

i have been diagnosed with bpd but have since found out that a lot of the symptoms of bipolar ii are the same or similar
my doctor wont even look at the symptoms and say's medication wont work for bpd even though she has perscribed, me anti psychotics,
she wants to take me off of them, i am also on anti depressants,
could you tell me how to tell the difference between both disorders, and if it would be wise for me to come off them

I'm unsure of the difference between the two disorders as I know more about bpd since that is also my diagnosis. I too am on anti-psychotic medication and anti-depressants and I know that I definately keep better when on both of them. I came off my anti-psychotics over a year ago and was very unwell until I re-started them. I've noticed a marked difference and for me it wouldn't be wise to come off them if you're not experiencing too bad (if any) side effects. I have quite bad side effects and i'm considering stopping my anti-psychotics however I'd rather stay on them due to this marked improvement again in my mental health.
