How do you make friends when you don't have a job? My therapist said if I had more friends I wouldn't be as obsessed w/ him. I have 2 friends - who are very busy. I have a volunteer position, but no friends have come from this venture. I had very few to no friends growing up. The only time I had several friends was when I was in college. Since I already have a bachelors and a masters I'm not sure going back to school is a viable option. I hope you guys don't get too tired of my posts. You're my therapists I don't have to pay - but I'm still rather obsessed with.

Its a matter of finding interests and going out and about. For me it was volunteer work and poetry readings in the past. Now that I am homebound from my physical disability most of my socializing is online (though I do have friends who stop by and I call people via TTY) but as recovery improves I will make an active effort to get out and about. Think of some hobby or interest you have and see what's out there. Support groups can be good and although they give good advice (speaking of offline ones in person) I find people "inherit" each other's problems. Best to think of an every day interest you have and meet people through there.

fajnie jest mieć przyjaciół,jednak szukanie ich na siłę  niczego dobrego nie wnosi do naszego życia ,wręcz przeciwnie.
