Don't hurt yourself!!

Nobody needs to see you cut yourself -not even your psychologist.

Do you feel your T doesn't understand you or take you seriously?

I often felt that people needed to see physical harm before they could understand the emotional pain behind it.
I have learned that people aren't so interested in you hurting yourself, etc but in how you feel.

Can you put words to how you feel?
Do you feel sad, overwhelmed, helpless, worthless, inadequate, frightened, afraid??

Identifying the emotion may help you to understand the behavior (why you need to cut).

If bad comes out, does that mean that you will be all good?
Do you believe your T only sees your positives?  Must you convince him you do have weaknesses (as well as strengths).

Do you need to do this in front of him to get his attention, his love (care, concern)?

What is it you need to say to him or for him to see?

I would strongly advise not cutting.  Some people accidentally bleed to death, some have heart attacks, etc due to blood loss.  Cutting is extremely dangerous.  Please don't do that.
Some people use a red marker pen to draw on themselves to represent the blood.  Some say holding ice helps with urges to cut too.

I trust that you won't hurt yourself.

Take care,
J
