Newly diagnosed Meningioma

I had a finding of a "tiny (6mm) focus of enhancement in the posterior interhemispheric fissure , likely a meningioma" My family practice provider told me to follow up in one year with another MRI. I have daily headaches and now have numbness in my lips to the left side of my face. The MRI/MRA was originally ordered due to an instance of a pain in my head that felt like someone was filling my head up with air. The headaches have been happening with more frequency over the last 3 months and the lip numbness is new in the last 3 weeks. Should I see a Neurosurgeon for a second opinion. My family practice provider said that the lip numbness is not related and did not relay any follow up information. I am a little scared.

Dear Lalamobile,

It is unlikely that your symptoms are related to this very small tumor in the interhemispheric fissure.
If you want, I can review your imaging free of charge.
