seizures worse after gamma knife

i am a 38yr old women with recurant craniopharyngioma. i have a history of grand mal seizures was controled for years. i had a craniotomy in 06 to remove a 22mm craniopharyngioma. i found out my tumor had regrew in jan and chose gamma knife instead of another craniotomy. i had the gamma knife done in may this year.  i take 3000mg keppra and 600mg gabpentin daily. im not on any other meds and my hormone levels are low/normal. i have been having 1 or 2 seizures a month since the gamma. my seizures have gotten very bad as i stop breathing and my warning (daj vu) is a second and im out. im having very bad headaches and my scalp gets very tender. my neurosurgeon told me my tumor had dead tissue around it and i see him agin in april. i am having personality changes and very bad anger rages ,i feel evil and will snap over anything. i cant control my stress and people stress me out so i try to stay at home as i go off on people at walmart. im having alot pain pressure in my head and behind my eyes . my mom wont go anywhere with me because of my rages and i do feel bad after. the anger rages is causing problems in my marriage. what is going on with me? is it a side effect of gamma or dead tissue ? my tumor was the size of a nickle . my teeth on left side are starting to turn black at my gums, this has been just this year. my neurosurgeon tells me he dont treat my seizures so i cant get an appt . i had 2 seizures in a row this weekend. i need help and info on what is goin on and what to do. thank you for your help.

I would need to see the imaging in order to give you a formal opinion.
Let me know when you have access to your discs with MRIs and I can evaluate them free of charge.
Thanks

thank you so much for the info !! you have gave me more info than i have gotten from my neurosurgeon all year. i feel my surgeon isent taking my tumor or symptoms seriously at all. i realy would love for you to look at my mris but i dont have any and havent even seen but 2 views and that was the one of jan and the nickle size in may.i have asked for my mri and i was told he will make me copys for $15.00 a disk . i havent even touched my mris or he dont show me or go over them at all. i feel helpless as i have no idea what my tumor is doing and he dont bring them in the room and show me at all. im wanting a second opinion but have no films to see. he let me go blind in my left eye before my crainotomy in 06 and thankfuly my vision came back after, so thats why im worried hes telling me my tumor is very rare as its aggresive and my age is one in a million. i go to university of ky and its a teaching hospital so im the rat. i am having sever pressure headaches like never before and they last up to 6 hrs. im not wanting to sue or put my surgeon down just want to know should i trust him like my husband says or run ? the mri disk should i have to pay for copys , i payed for the mris and never see them. i just get told come back in 6 months and leave feeling as hes not taking my health seriously. i just need some advice on this and the headaches are really starting to scare me. thanks for your time, brainpain.

At this time I would not expect to see swelling related to the MRI.
The dead tissue gets reabsorbed. No need for surgery. If tumor grows though, after gamma knife, then usually some type of surgery is necessary.
If you want I can take a look at your mRIs.

i do have a neuro for my seizures and i have been seen by a seizure spealist. the seizure spealist wants me to have the vns implant . i need that done but i also need my yearly mri for my tumor. my first tumor grew from 7mm to 22mm in 2 years. my tumor was found this jan was size of pea and in 3 months was size of a nickle. my neurosurgeon says both my tumors are very aggressive. i was told after my 6 month mri follow up my craniopharyngioma has dead tissue around it. thats all the info i got and i go in april for my next mri.  will i need to have the dead tissue removed ? i get pain in my head it feels like my brain is pressing out of skull and i get sever pain in my eye feels like a hot needle poking in it . i had never gotten that before. could my brain still have swelling from the gamma knife ? thank you for your help and advice.

Dear Brainpain
It sounds like your old epilepsy was triggered by Gamma Knife. It is unlikely that Gamma knife generated seizures itself.
You should look for a neurologist specialized in epilepsy in case you don't have one. It sounds like you need EEG invetigation with mediation changes etc.
Is the tumor under control after gamma knife?
Thank you
DP
