I was rear eneed a few months ago and started having headaches, pain tingling and numbness in hands and arms.MRI results are horrible, almost every cervical disc is bulging or protruding and all disc signals are decreased whatever that means. I'm awaiting appt w a neurosurgeon who'll explain I'm sure.
what has me concerned is that in the 'other findingd section at the bottom of my results, it says 'posterior epidural fat plane is attenuated above c6-7 (also a protrusion is mildly impressing on ventral cord across midline at that level). Focal lesion in the skull base up to 1cm lies in the region of the solenoid sinus. avoid lesion in the right thyroid lobe inferiority measures at least 11mm . isthmus appears thickened measuring at least six mm in ap dimension. "
Do I have cancer? What are these lesions? Although I have full auto coverage, so all things related to accident are covered, I do not have medical insurance.
These are incidental findings from the MRI. They are not necessarily cancer. Most commonly they represent benign lesions, but you should definitely discuss with you family doctor and see if further investigation is necessary in order to definitively rule out more aggressive disease as such as cancer.
